Located in the northeastern tip of Mindanao, the Siargao Protected Landscape and Seascape covers the entirety of Siargao Island and several smaller islets surrounding it. This protected area features a dynamic array of coastal and inland habitats, including coral reefs, mangrove forests, seagrass beds, limestone caves, and lowland tropical forests. It protects endangered species such as the Philippine cockatoo, coconut crab, and various marine turtles. Siargao is internationally acclaimed for its surfing breaks, notably 'Cloud 9', attracting surfers and adventure seekers worldwide.
